Drama Script (pdf)

Summary

This drama is written in the style of an old silent film. It is best played with ragtime music in the background and PowerPoint slides or placards that introduce the title of each vignette. The vignettes feature two characters that are at a church service when the offering bucket is passed along. The characters act differently according to the title of the scene. For example, “The Reluctant Giver” continues to try and pass the bucket, but won’t let go of his money. With remorse on their face the character finally drops the offering into the bucket and passes it along.

This drama can work any time your church is talking about giving, or even a light-hearted introduction to a service that is about attending church.

Characters

Giver One and Giver two are constantly rotating the roles and characters they play, as delineated in the script.
